4,633 Toyota Prius cars recalled in the UK over park brake

It’s been a terrible few years for Toyota, as they have been involved in several car recalls over the years, and now there is another to add to that list. This time there is a new Toyota Prius recall, which affects 340,000 units worldwide, although only 4,633 of them are in the UK and were manufactured between August 2015 and October 2016.

The reason for this latest Toyota Prius recall is due to an issue with its parking brake, as there is a chance that it could become inoperative.

If the driver were to leave the vehicle in any other position other than park while the ignition is on, there is a chance that the vehicle could roll away.

As you can imagine, this is a serious safety risk, although there have not been any news of any incidents or injuries. If you have an affected model, then Toyota will contact you soon.
