Citroen C3 Picasso recall doesn’t affect sales growth
Last year Citroen had to issue a recall for its C3 Picasso due to an issue with its brake pedal after being converted for the UK market. Even though it had been switched over, it still remained connected to the mechanism.
This was a huge concern because the passenger would have been able to engage the brakes just by pulling on a cable that still remained in place. The good news is that all 20,000 affected vehicles were fixed and from what we know, this was not an issue for any other models.
That is not the only good news, as that Peugeot- Citroen C3 Picasso from last year has not affected sales. According to a report from Citroen, sales were up by 4.3 per cent, although this was worldwide and not just UK.
Citroen has been selling better than Peugeot, with registrations for new models up by 7.2 per cent. The United Kingdom has seen a good increase in sales, although so has France, Spain and Germany. You have to wonder if this would be the case if Citroen suffered from as many recalls as the likes of Honda and Toyota? Let us hope that 2015 is still a good year for the French carmaker.
If you have experienced any issues with your Citroen, then we would welcome you to share those with our readers on this dedicated page.
