Fiat Scudo with 2.0 Mjet engine recalled
Owners of the 2012-2015 Fiat Scudo with the 2.0 Mjet engine are now learning that there is a recall on this model. While there are only 674 of these vans being recalled, it is a pretty high number for not one of the most popular cans on the UK streets.
Reason for the recall? There is a chance that fuel may leak if the fuel heater cover is activated too many times in cold weather. This is because an electric connector could cause the fuel heater cover to overheat.
If this does happen, then this could cause air ingress, and so you could then have an issue with starting the engine, or even worse, fuel could leak onto the road.
Fiat will want to check the condition of the heated diesel filter cover along with its connector, and if deteriorated or damaged they will then replace the cover or connector.
Vehicle Id check: ZFA27000064322204 to ZFA27000064356967.
