Ford EcoSport rear suspension problem leads to recall
If you have a Ford EcoSport that was built between 29th of November, 2013 and the 25th of February, 2015, then you might need to check with Ford to see if your model is affected by an issue with its suspension.
According to the Government website, 1258 of these vehicles are being recalled because the suspension trailing arm bolts might not have been tightened to the correct torque setting, in which case could cause the bolt to fail, or cause an annoying knocking noise.
The remedy for this Ford EcoSport recall is to replace the nuts and bolts connecting the trailing arm, and then tighten them to the correct specification.
For those of you worried, then check to see if you have the VIN from WF0BXXMRKBDD81984 to Wf0BXXMRKBET55533, and if so then contact your local Ford dealer. For other Ford problems head to this page and share it with the Car Recalls Community.
