Multiple Citroen models recalled for faulty airbag
Citroen is having to recall 967 units of their C5, Berlingo III and Jumpy III models due too an issue with their airbags. While this is a small figure when compared to the ongoing Takata airbag issue, this number will still be big to those affected.
The affected models were built between April 24, 2016 and May 2 2016. The VIN to look out for at VF3******GZ023603 to VF3******GJ676851 and VF3******GZ023603 to VF3******GJ676851.
The reason for the recall is that the airbag may deploy incorrectly during impact because the inflation device may not meet with specification.
Citroen will no doubt contact affected owners, although you may wish to contact your local dealer, where they will then arrange for the driver’s airbag module to be replaced free of charge.
