Nissan was founded back in 1933, but up until 1983 in the UK and in certain parts of the world outside of Japan people knew Nissan as Datsun. When people think of Datsun in the United Kingdom we are reminded of vehicles such as the Cherry, Sunny and also its range of Z cars, such as the 280 ZX Targa Top.
It was back in 1999 that Nisan became part of the Renault–Nissan Alliance, and so started to share technologies, which gained a mixed reaction, but on the whole was seen as a necessary move. There are still Datsun vehicles being sold in certain markets, and Nissan also has two other brands it sells, which are more upmarket or specialist version, and these are Infiniti and NISMO.
Like many Japanese vehicles these do seem more prone to recalls, although we are sure it only feels this way because of the high volumes of vehicles being manufactured under the brand. Thankfully, many of these vehicles are targeted for the U.S. and Japanese markets, and so the UK seems to miss many of them, but we do see them from time to time.
However, when it comes to Nissan problems, we know the list is ever-growing, and so if you have one of those issues that has been annoying you and would like to find answers, then please share those problems with our readers below.
