Porsche 918 Spyder recalled again, needs inspection
Some people would think that when you pay several hundred thousand for a hypercar, although closer to million pounds, then there would be less chance of them being recalled. However, with the amount of new technology built into them, it’s not really a surprise.
However, to hear that the Porsche 918 Spyder is being recalled yet again is not a good sign, and even more so when it does not involve its new hybrid system, but rather something they should have got right by now.
A recent investigation has found that some carbon fibre components could find their way into the radiator fan wiring harness, and so could actually cause the car to overheat.
Porsche are contacting owners who had their cars built before April 2015 so they can undergo a service inspection. We don’t have a specific number on the cars affected in the UK, but we doubt they will even hit 100 units.
For more details we ask that you contact your local Porsche dealer. If you have anything to share, please head to our dedicated page on this German sports car brand.
