SEAT Ibiza now joins UK engine recall
With the VW Polo and Skoda Fabia 1.2 TDI now included in the Volkswagen emissions scandal, the SEAT Ibiza has also been added to that ever growing list. The 1.6 engine is to also be included at a later date, but there are currently no details on that yet, as we presume the carmaker wants to concentrate on this latest recall for now.
We do not have any numbers in regards to those SEAT Ibiza (EA189) 1.2 TDI models just yet, although we suspect they will not be very high. This latest campaign will no doubt include vehicles not only in the UK, but we are only interested in those in the United Kingdom.
Once you are contacted by your dealer, you will then have to arrange to bring your Ibiza in, where it will take from 30 minutes to 1 hour for hardware and software changes to be made.
